Mission Statement

To be God's people in Kirkby. This involves:

  • Worshipping in a wholesome way which enables us to learn more of the nature of God as Father, and to grow in grace and Christian maturity. Our worship should be open, welcoming, meaningful, enjoyable and enriching.
  • Working to serve the community in which we live, thus being a servant church, and striving to meet people at their point of need.
  • Witnesssing to our community that God is a loving Father who can be known through Jesus Christ and that God's Holy Spirit will live in us.

We aim to achieve this in co-operation with other churches so that we progress towards unity.

Traidcraft

Buying a variety of goods – jewellery, clothing bedding, food, tea, coffee – at prices which ensure the producers are paid a fair wage. They are then able to send their children to school, build their own home and have a measure of self-esteem.

We support the Fairtrade fortnight in February and March, when the stall is open every morning and at other times when meetings, services, fellowships are being held. Do come and have a look. Our Traidcraft rep is Nancy Shipley
